Premier Hybrid Salon For Men

Macho Mucho (registered as Macho Mucho Salon For Men) is the premier hybrid salon and barbershop for men located at SM City CDO Downtown Premier, SM City CDO Uptown, SM City North Edsa, Ayala Mall Abreeza Davao, SM City Davao Ecoland, SM City Butuan and SM City General Santos. Since 2012, Macho Mucho has properly established itself as the go-to hair grooming center for men. Its unique selling proposition is its breadth of offering customized men’s grooming needs, with a fusion of full-barbershop services and salon services such as; stylist cut, hair color, and hair treatments. In 2015, we opened our second branch in SM City Ecoland Davao and is now the leading men salon in the city. The Davao branch was also voted as the #1 Barber Salon for Men in Davao City last 2015.

Its third branch opened in Abreeza Ayala Davao in September 2016 featuring the Junior, by Macho Mucho. Macho Mucho is also awarded by Go Negosyo and the US in 2021. We also opened last March 2021 at SM City Butuan, our new generation of Macho Mucho shop designed with `neo-industrial interiors’ which have never been seen before. We also have community barbershop which opened last February 2022, “A barbershop that feels more than just a barbershop”. Embassy as the National Grand Winner for the YEDW 2015 as Best Concept among 60 concepts nationwide and was quoted as the “disruptor of the barbershop industry”.

We Scratched An Itch

The idea for Macho Mucho started with a problem Ralph, our founder, experienced in his first year as a professional. When he went to barbershops in mall for his haircut, he observed that it was not at all par to the needs of the modern men. Most barbershops had white walls, electric fans or very low airconditioning, TV with bad receptions and barbers that doesn’t really communicate to customers. He knew it could be better.

With his sister and co-founder, Kaye, they had an idea of A BETTER barbershop. He pioneered the idea of a modern barbershop fused with a stylist to help provide a wider service for the evolving hairstyle needs of men. They designed the space with a “male loft” vision; industrial mixed with contemporary features, a new experience during its time.

Barbers toned down to a more cool uniform than just white polos. And jazzy or lo-fi music to top it off. More than that, we recruited barbers who also believed in the mission that customers deserve better. Altogether, all elements were orchestrated for a superior experience that every customer deserve!

What we offer

It started with an idea that men should be pampered and treated for their grooming needs in an environment where they can be truly themselves; not in an old-style barbershop that lacked innovations for the needs of today’s men, and not in a unisex salon that lacks elements that affirms their manhood. It is with this need that we’ve innovated and paved the way to making Macho Mucho, a salon and a barbershop in one.
